A job application asked me what was the hardest thing I overcame with hard work.. Here is my answer:
I recently graduated coding bootcamp which I felt broke me down in many ways, but I came out in the end by staying positive and not giving up. The imposter syndrome is so real, even to this day, especially when you are changing careers. It is easy to become overwhelmed with having to take on new information, at the same time having to remain humble and kind to yourself that you will forever be a student. If you are already giving up on something before you see it through, I feel that options in life will prove limiting. Anyone can learn new skills if they can first accept that many mistakes will be made along the way, perhaps even all the way. Perseverance is what separates you from quitters, because even landing in last place is still a position that to not placing at all.
